Helping Hands for Seniors provides elderly placement services specifically tailored to meet the needs of seniors in need of care, and a new home. We work directly with each family to evaluate their specific situation to determine a community or facility that is best fit for them.

Since 2007, we have been working closely with Memory and Dementia Care Facilities, Assisted Livings, Independent Living Facilities, Adult Care Homes, and Residential Care Facilities throughout Oregon and Washington. We are experts in locating the best fit, and most affordable care options available at no cost to you. Once all needs have been identified, our placement specialist will educate and tour with you the most appropriate and cost effective level of care.

Long term care facility are composed of Assisted Livings, Memory and Dementia Care Facilities, Residential Care Facilities, and Adult Care provide a combination of housing, care services, and 24-hour staff designed to respond to the individual needs of those who require help with activities of daily living (ADLs).
These senior housing options are non-institutional, home-like settings that promote maximum independence and dignity for each resident and encourage family and community involvement.

From the Founder/CEO
Hello, my name Larisa Louka and I am the Founder and CEO of Helping Hands for Seniors, and I’m truly thrilled you’ve stopped by our website today!
My journey began when my family and I immigrated from Romania to the United States, searching for new opportunities. Little did I know that my real purpose would reveal itself in the most heartfelt way dedicating my life to caring for our precious elderly community.
As a teenager, I stepped into my first caregiving role in long-term care facilities, and I fell in love with the work instantly. Those early days sparked a passion that never faded. Years later, I proudly became the owner and operator of my own care facilities right here in Oregon, where I specialized in supporting individuals with the most complex medical and behavioral challenges.
In 2014, I took a bold step and founded Agape Hospice & Palliative Care in Los Angeles, California. Not long after, I brought that same heart-centered vision to Portland, Oregon, launching Agape Hospice NW. Today, I’m honored to lead an incredible team of dedicated professionals—physicians, nurses, social workers, CNAs, and chaplains across both states. Every single one of them has taught me something new, and together we’ve built something truly special.
Hard work runs deep in my veins, but it’s the shared wisdom and unwavering commitment of my team that has given me profound insight into what truly matters: providing exceptional care for seniors and walking hand-in-hand with families during life’s most tender moments.
That’s exactly why I created Helping Hands for Seniors. I wanted to build an organization that stands out, and that doesn’t just provide services, but truly makes a difference by surrounding seniors and their loved ones with genuine support, expertise, and understanding during challenging transitions.
With decades of hands-on experience behind us, my team has become more than caregivers, we’re trusted experts, compassionate advisors, and fierce advocates for the elderly.

Its never easy finding a new place for your father to live. After we unexpectedly lost my mother and my dad no longer had her to take care of him helping Hands for Seniors founds us a place that he loved that is close to us. In 2015, I contacted Andreea Benea of Helping Hands for Seniors when I was seeking adult foster care for an elderly friend whose needs were such that she could no longer live alone. I found Andreea to be a knowledgeable resource with a wealth of information and great skill in assessing the needs of her clients. She spent a great deal of time showing me available foster homes in our area. She never rushed the process; rather, she was a skilled and patient navigator in familiarizing me with the many care options. She understands the governmental bureaucracy governing the industry and she thoroughly vets homes before offering them for consideration. I describe Andreea as a gifted compassionate service-oriented professional. Her dedication to serving her clients might best be described as a ministry. I continue to keep in touch with Andreea for advice and answers to questions I might have. I was referred to Helping Hands for Seniors in July 2018 for my mom who was at St. Vincent’s Hospital for a hip fracture. I was completely overwhelmed by my mom’s condition and had no clue how to find her new housing and care options. Larisa and Monica gave me a complete education on the whole process and found mom an amazing place. I highly recommend Helping Hands for Seniors.
Helping Hands was the third referral agency I worked with to find a new home for my father.
